Markets change, and clients have different wants and needs, but Keith Gilbert consistently delivers the utmost professionalism and care as he guides his clients through all facets of their transactions. Keith has a reputation for his strategic plans, constant communication, market knowledge, level-headed demeanor, original thinking, and ability to execute at a high level. These skills have helped Keith to achieve Masters Club Life Member status with the Sacramento Association of REALTORS®. They also kept him in the top 10% of a 900-person brokerage prior to his founding of Focus Real Estate in 2021.
Keith began his career as a REALTOR® in 2008 during one of the most challenging economies this country had ever seen.
“Starting in the industry in 2008 was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. A lot of the agents in my office complained that they were doing twice the work for half the pay. Fortunately, I didn’t know any different so working hard was the only option. Today I maintain that same mentality and do everything I can to help my clients achieve their goals.”
The experience of launching his career during the housing market crisis and Great Recession, combined with purchasing, substantially renovating, and selling his own properties, played a key role in defining the agent Keith is today. Both situations demanded hard work, stamina, and resilience to succeed — a triple-edged mentality he carries with him to this day. Having worked with clients in a variety of situations,as well as having bought and sold multiple times himself, Keith understands the stress that comes with making a move.
Given these experiences, Keith believes empathy and effective communication are at the heart of every successful real estate transaction.
“I am in a service business, so I take the time to understand what each client is looking for during their buying or selling experience. No two clients are the same so understanding their goals, wants, and needs allows me to tailor the service I deliver to meet each client’s expectations.”
In addition to serving his clients, Keith has been mentoring agents since 2015, which has further strengthened his understanding of the real estate process and of people.
Keith grew up in Fair Oaks and now lives in Folsom’s Empire Ranch community with his wife and three children. Keith enjoys spending time with his wife and family; coaching his sons’ soccer, baseball, and basketball teams; and being a fan of the Kings, Giants, 49ers, and Sac Republic, to name a few. Keith is excited about what each day brings, which almost always involves meeting new people, talking real estate, and experiencing the satisfaction of helping someone achieve a major goal.
